By accessing or using MarketSchema (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
MarketSchema provides cross-asset macro indices, market condition scores, and related analytical tools (“Indices”) for informational purposes. The Service includes web-based dashboards, APIs, and alert integrations.
Nothing on MarketSchema constitutes investment advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security. Our indices are calculated metrics derived from public data sources. They reflect quantitative conditions, not opinions. You are solely responsible for your own trading and investment decisions.
You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial research and decision-support. You may not: (a) redistribute index values or API data to third parties without a commercial license; (b) scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data beyond normal API usage; (c) reverse-engineer index formulas beyond what is publicly documented; or (d) use the Service to mislead others about market conditions.
Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing, plan details, and billing terms are described on the Pro page. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Index values are derived from public data sources including FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data) (Macro series, rates, credit, housing), Massive.com (Equities, ETFs, CBOE indices (VIX)), Massive Fundamentals (Company financial statements and ratios), CoinGecko (Crypto prices, volumes, dominance), Binance (Crypto funding rates), Finnhub (Company fundamentals fallback), EIA (Energy Information Administration) (Energy & power data), GridStatus (Power grid data), Stooq (Emergency fallback (spot metals)). We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that data is error-free, complete, or timely. Data may be delayed, revised, or temporarily unavailable.
When a primary data source becomes unavailable, the system automatically substitutes a fallback source to maintain continuity. This fallback may change the semantic meaning of an index value. For example, if FRED Treasury rate data is unavailable, the system may substitute a bond ETF price proxy, which reflects market-implied yields rather than official government rates. Users relying on index values during fallback periods should check the source attribution metadata in API responses. Fallback activations are logged and disclosed via the source_type field in API metadata.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MarketSchema and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
MarketSchema index names, formulas, and the compilation of indices are proprietary. Individual data components are sourced from public providers under their respective terms. You retain ownership of any content you create using the Service (e.g., saved watchlists, alert configurations).
Note: While we source from providers offering public APIs, their terms of service may restrict redistribution or commercial reuse. We have not completed a comprehensive legal audit of all provider agreements. Users redistributing index data or component-level values assume responsibility for verifying compliance with upstream provider terms. See Section 6a (Semantic Substitution Risk) for related disclosures.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
